Face Masks now Mandatory at the Co-op!

Face Covering Requirements and Recommendations under Executive Order 20-81

As of July 25, 2020, per the Governor's Executive Order 20-81, people in Minnesota are required to wear a face-covering in all indoor businesses and public indoor spaces, unless alone.  Additionally, workers are required to wear a face-covering when working outdoors in situations where social distancing cannot be maintained. Research has shown that the use of face coverings can greatly reduce the risk of infection when combined with other prevention efforts such as social distancing and hand hygiene.

We understand that the mandatory face mask initiative by the State of Minnesota is not what we want to have to enforce, but we abide by the rules set forth by the State on July 25th and are humbly asking all members, and new customers moving forward until further notified by the State of Minnesota, to please abide by the mandatory face mask initiative set forth when entering our store at the Good Earth Food Coop.

Note: Please keep in mind the following now when shopping at the Coop:

  • Customers who refuse to wear masks, not abiding by the above State-regulated guidelines, will be asked to leave until they can abide by such guidelines.
  • Customers who use their own reusable bags to carry groceries will have to bag their own groceries in order to reduce the spread of COVID.
  • Customers are no longer allowed to bring in their own coffee cups to get refills at the Deli.

Let’s please work together to prevent spreading the virus to our loved ones!

Thanks much all for your understanding,

Your Good Earth Food Coop Team.
